Why there is NO uproar against the Australian 2000 Olympics, given the Aussie records?

given the Aussie records on treating Native aboriginals are ruthless and genocidal ? But there was a dead silence maintained by the US and UK media ? And none of the European Leaders then talked about boycotting Aussies' opening ceremony ?

1. Because Australia at least acknowledged that it had made those mistakes. Comparing the human rights record of any civilised nation and china is simply a joke. The only comparison that even comes close would be the fact that nobody boycotted the German olympics under Hitler. The big difference then is nobody knew what Hitler would do later. Everyone (outside of China) knows what China has done, is doing, and will continue to do.
2. As far as I know Native Aboriginals did not go on the rampage in the year when they held the games. As far as I know, there free to do what they like. I guess if there still unhappy they could protest but then again there allowed to do that freely. China might not be a great example of human rights but there's so much to say on the European and American mishaps, if we take a look back for the 500 last years, namely the colonial conquests, political influences, cold war etc., we're talking about killings, rapings, looting on a world scale. So, to those who want to appear as lesson donors, i'll say, start counting the number of skeletons hidden in your closet instead of trying to look better than you are.
5. trolling still? you obviously know nothing about Aboriginal protests at the time or the coverage given in the international media. i guess being chinese you would have sent the tanks out to run a few of us over though. you chinese aren't shy when it comes to massacring your own these days. i hope more country's pull out of the chinese olympics.
6. you don't remember the Aboriginal lady who ran and won and how she cheered for and showed her love for her home country, that is probably why there was no uproar, I think there has been repentance and an effort to "fix" the mistakes of the past
