what can i do to get a woman out of my uncles garage?

my uncle recently bought a house that he cant pay for, so he rented out a few bedrooms along with a garage. at the time, he was desperate, and blindly agreed to rent out the unconverted garage to a woman a her baby. until a while ago, we didnt know that it was illegal to do so. on top of that, the woman is causing a lot of problems, including loud music, screaming, litter, causing an uproar in the neighborhood, constantly picking fights with my aunt, and possibly child abuse on her kid. trust me i know-i visited for 2 months. oh and shes always having cops over too... so far 4 times a day. and they come at night too because sometimes the neighbors also report her of child abuse. anyways, now the city is taking legal action and people are going to come inspect the garage in a week to see if the garage has been "converted" back to a place to park cars and not a bedroom. my uncle has already given her a verbal agreement that she leave at the end of this month. weve given her 30 days to move out, but she wont leave. i recently printed out a three days to quit notice for my uncle to sign. is there any way to get her out of the garage? i know my uncle has made a mistake, and so does he, so please either answer or dont. i dont want any insults oh by the way my uncle lives in southern california

  1. This will vary widely by area. You need to contact someone local-try legal aid
  2. If there is no rental or lease agreement he can have the sheriff department lead her right out. Call DFS to check on the welfare of the child and explain to them the entire situation.
  3. FOR starters how could it possibly be legal to rent out a garage for a living accommodation as there is no sanitation (kitchen washroom)? Unless you can produce a document that it was for storage purposes, that is a signed lease by both parties that this was a storage unit renta and you are evicting her for living there, and thusly violating the lease you are pretty much screwed. The only way to legally get her out of this highly illegal apartment would be to get the courts involved. Which since it is a highly illegal unit, your uncle is going to be responsible for punitive damages and possibly her relocation cost as well as any fines (depending upon municipal by-law) that may have been incurred by renting an illegal unit.
  4. just wait for the inspectors---
