Uproars Entertainment

I have accepted a new position in Casper Wyoming. What is the entertainment situation in Casper?

I am moving to Casper from the Midwest, can anybody tell me what I can expect in Wyoming (I know that there is alot of space between towns). But what type of entertainment is available, I have a 16 year old son.

  3. Sorry - I can't resist!! It sounds like a ghost town to me... But I hope you love it there!! :-) (I'm a sucker for a good pun...) Begging your forgiveness, they have a city website with some very interesting information! http://www.casperwy.gov/ And search them on Wiki - they've got the 2000 Census information listed there.

  5. I laughed when I saw your question, entertainment in Casper.....HAHAHA! You'll probably love it though, Rough winters though. Very windy at times, friendly people. Your teen may not like unless he has a quad. Good skiing if you don't mind some driving. Yes, it's VERY wide open. Lots of horse riding going on too. Denver is doable if you really need big city.
  6. Casper has malls and movie theaters. But there is not tons of concerts or anything. Casper is great if you're into outdoor sports. Another good thing: with the Hathaway scholarships, if he does good in high school he'll be able to go to the University Of Wyoming for very little.
  7. Sports * Wyoming Cavalry a minor league indoor football team in the American Indoor Football Association. * Casper Ghosts a minor league baseball team affiliated with the Colorado Rockies. http://www.caspereventscenter.com/ http://www.discoverourtown.com/WY/Casper/Recreation-2550.html
  8. Minimal entertainment (i.e. Casper Ghosts, Wyoming Cavalry, a few movie theatres, hunting, fishing, camping, a few concerts), that is about it in a nut shell. Your 16 year old is going to tell you that there is nothing to do, but I recommend that he gets involved in sports.
  9. Watching for crazy methheads is always a good pass time.
