are the x-hi converse made for men or women. or on the flipside both?

i wanted to get a pair...to maybe wear like combat boots.... but i dont want to walk around in them looking like an idiot. just wanting to know which gender that type of shoe is more based around.

1. I'm a girl and I wear them, I think they're for both girls and boys. Just don't get the ones that say 'All Star' across the sides.
