If the UK passes sexist laws discriminating against men, will this in turn cause an uproar in both the male an?
Female population? If you take reverse-racism for example: you stop discriminating against the minorities, and discriminate against the majority, it will cause people in the majority of the population to feel resentment toward the minority, and possibly cause an uproar. However because the gender population are about equal, would it in turn cause an uproar in both genders? I can see the male gender feeling resentment toward the female gender, but what would happen to us mentally? Would we in turn begin to resent males? Hypothetical question.

- Ugh! You wanton disregard for the English language is giving me a headache: "Gender" is described by "masculine," "feminine," and "neuter," NOT "male" and "female," which are the two sexes. Hasn't this scenario already come to pass? Just take look around for the answer to this question.
- I'm starting to resent any kind of feminist that thinks these sexist laws are a good idea. I wouldnt blame men for resenting us women if they get passed, to be fair.
- Very few people participate in the political process unless there is some situation which is causing problems for most people ~ a famine or war, for example. In Australia, discriminatory laws were passed against lgbt people several years ago, and although most people don't support the laws (according to polls), there wasn't much protest. It takes quite a lot to get the average citizen even to write a protest letter, let alone behave in any way activist. So, no, I don't think laws of any kind will cause an uproar by most people ~ although the usual talking heads will be flapping their gums for the nes media, using their same tired old arguments to convince people to buy whatever brand of soap they endorse next week. Ho hum. Cheers :-)
- A "feminist" who supports anti-male laws is just as bad as any woman-hater.
