What is going on with all these arguments at the health care town halls?

I watch CNN regularly and I just do not understand what is causing all the uproar about healthcare? Where is all this coming from ? What is going on really ? What am I missing? Please can someone break it down for me.

Public Comments

1. all the "angry unamerican" republicans are trying to thwart the deomcrats trying to take control of our health
2. Un-American people are interrupting the speakers at town hall meetings which is preventing freedom of speech.
3. Some powerful industries don't want the status quo in health care disrupted because they're making a fortune, and republicans are so ideologically opposed to Obama that they're more obsessed with bringing him down than solving problems. Those two join forces in spreading misinformation to rednecks and get them to be disruptive at open meetings. That disruption makes opposition to health care reform appear far larger than it is, fulfilling the political objectives of those two groups. The town hall meetings are an attempt to reach out and engage the public. They get disrupted by a minority, and naturally it's organizers are pissed. Republicans - who never had any interest in engaging the public (do you recall town halls about upper income tax breaks, Iraq, or Halliburton?) - then claim the left is suppressing free speech by canceling meetings or removing disruptive attendees. It's all quite evil.
4. We’re pissed. People that normally just go to work, go home and hope the government keeps us safe and doesn’t screw things up too badly. But the idiot liberals/progressives hijacked the democrats party, and the democrats haven’t noticed yet. The republicans are lost in the “big tent” BS so we had to get our butt off the couch and do this. (We hate that) Obama, why did you have to go and wake us up? You knew the rules, a LITTLE at a time. You can tax the Americans and nudge us to socialism a LITTLE at a time. You messed up big time and all of your are going to pay, 2010, 2012, tick tock, tick tock.
5. Well it takes an idiot to impede progress. Universal health care will pass, despite all the crazies out there who think Obama wants to harvest organs and kill old people.
6. The basis is it will control you health and if old enough you will not get life saving care . An to put the topping on it if you are of a age or have a terminal illness then you will be counseled to end your life .
7. You and me alike. I think the republicans party regional hqs are kind of setting this up and encouraging "free speech". I think its stupid because universal health care was on the party plan for McCain, Edwards, Clinton and Obama. But their point isn't the plan but rather in giving Obama a hard time. See Obama's success sickens them maybe because they actually thought McCain would win.
8. Civil disobedience, it's a fine American tradition. If the Brie and Chardonnay left thinks this is out of control, they ain't seen nothing yet. Time was when liberals had some stones and had it out in the streets with the man. The guys who marched against the Vietnam war would understand these protests.
9. you basically have some groups (opponents of reform) who have sent out mass instructions to right winger citizens to go out and disrupt town hall meetings and make it look like there is mass anger against the notion of cheaper more available health care for citizens and less gouging and less obscene salaries by insurance executives. Yeah..they want to make it look like americans love paying $12,000 a year or more for health insurance for a family of 4 or $4000 for a dental implant, or $2000 for a minor knee surgery....and they love filing bankruptcy cause of a 10 day hospital stay.

Stop trying to draw partisan lines and wake up and read the nazi manafesto! The socialism(reform) that will come from this bill is not unlike that of many evils we have fought in the past!! Just read the bill and see for yourself. Highlights of the bill Page:30,42,58,59,65,95,909 These are just a few of the radical Ideas proposed. 59 actually makes a reference to the government having unchecked access to all american citizens bank accounts for automatic wire transfers. You really want the government to be able to dip in your checking account as they see fit? This is not about partisan lines, but our elderly our young and the general populas getting not just rationed healthcare but many getting no healthcare at all.
11. could it possibly be that people are sincerely tired of Obama's attitude that he has a trillion a month allowance?
