Should Obama be focusing on fighting terrorism or fighting for the terrorists?

So far it seems we are shutting down the prisons, using the army field guide and criminalizing anyone who punished terrorists psychologically. On the flipside we are leaving iraq and going more into Afghanistan. And I just wanted to add I think it could be disastrous if we leave Iraq withougt making sure democracy will construct when we are not there

Obama has already visited Langley and told the people there he supported them and would stand by them. I would suggest that by improving the world's view of America (which he has been doing a tremendous job at doing) would do more to reduce anti-American terrorism than the current wars. Just saying, it's possible.

President Obama has wisely recognized that democracy doesn't come out of the barrel of a gun, that torture is anthema to a just society, and that if we need to lock people up who have not been convicted of crimes, the terrorists have already won. True, he's a bit slow about getting out of Iraq, and he seems to moving in the wrong direction in Afghanstan, but he's basically doing a good job. As for your additional details, your comment is sophmorific.

7. He is focused on fighting terrorist. There are over 100 Million of them so give him time to get around to each of us. I believe he is using the IRS, The CIA, Home Land Security, and many other government agencies to track down every American that voted against him in the last election. Look on the bright side we will all get a nice bed, an ACLU attorney and none of us will be water boarded. But we will need to stay in jail for a long long time. Its a bummer losing isn't it.

Not to worry, by racking up a huge national debt (based on the Congressional Budget office report next year two thirds of the output of the United States will be National Debt, and in 2015 it will be over 80%. Obama has nearly tripled the deficit Bush left him.), the bad guys may figure the USA as just another banana republic and not worth the effort, but it is clear he is following the Jimmy Carter model of national defense - as little defense as possible.

The real disaster has already happened in that we took our eye off catching Bin Laden and crushing Al Queida at Tora Bora in 2003, to go ESTABLISH i.e. FORCE a government on Iraq when it was none of our damn buisness. In our so called war on terror, Bush decided to leave Afganistan and invade the only Arab country in the whole mid east where there were no terrorists!!!!
