Why is it okay for Hamas to rocket Israel but it is not alright for Israel to bomb Hamas?

It seems odd that the Arabic world did not say word one to Hamas when they sent over 300 hundred rockets into Israel. Why the uproar when Israel retaliates?

If Israelies invited the press to take pictures of their dead women, children, and elderly and paraded them through the streets chanting slogans then popular support would sway toward them, too, but they have too much class for that. As such, you get people here who even go so far as to claim that the Israeli deaths are hoaxes... that the rockets are a "legitimate form of protest," and other such pure drivel. EDIT: to the guy above me... so... Israel is supposed to put an entire group of people who elected a government who has bombed and attacked them mercilessly in the past and whose main platform is "KILL JEWS" welfare because that's the right thing to do? If someone was constantly breaking the windows on your house, beating your kids up, sexually assaulting your wife, and slashing the tires on your cars, would you give him a six pack of beer and a check for a hundred bucks every week, or would you go kick his ass?
7. Because Israel is expected to seek out a compromise and sit at the adult table. Israel is justified in doing what they did. But violence is just not going to solve the problem with Hamas. unless they plan on wiping out the whole area and starting WWIII.
8. Because Hamas is part of the Arabic world. Parts of the Arabic world consider Hamas to be just in their cause.
9. I agree, a country must protect itself and no one can argue against that point. In Israel's case though, it has used rather excessive force. Maybe they should have used minimal force to achieve their aims. This is why everyone is panning the Israelis.

Those very people have opinion on the Iraq War and Afghanistan War and even have their own opinion on the war with Israel and Hamas... 15. The answer for your question is clear. Simply, coz the harm caused by Hamas rockets was nearly nothing (Before the Israeli attacks on Gaza) and I read an article in the guardian that said that these rockets over 4 years killed only 13. The Israeli attacks were condemned by the whole world and not just the Arab coz only in a week they killed 460 and wounded 2300.
