can someone give me specific directions on how to find and speak with Merlee in Super Paper Mario for Wii?

I've read several walkthrough and they all say - "talk to Merlee in Flopside (directly, not across the crystal ball" and they do the same for Merluvlee in Flipside but I can not either of them. But even when i do find them, how do i talk to them in order to start the process of getting the hidden Pixl? Please give specific instructions. Thanks

1. i havent played the game in a year but if i remember.. their in one of the buildings (flip and flop) on the first floor.... and if u want to get to the opposite side.. i think u have to go into 3d and get to her other side and flip again to talk to her... i havent played this in a year so im probably off
2. you just jump over the counter and then talk to merlee. I can tell you the pixel really can really help later on too.
