Will you go furious in an uproar if the winner of the popular vote does not win the election?
So how will you act if the popular vote winner does not get elected? I am just curious how many electorial college haters are on Yahoo Answers? Is the public too dumb to be allowed to elect the president directly?

- I will accept it. Now if Barry wins the popular vote and not the electoral, expect rioting fueled by the usual race-baiters.
- I will be happy as long as Obama wins. Insane in the McBrain can win the popular vote for all I care. Obama to the White House!!!!!!!!!!!
- I hope people do, I will not myself, as I have children, but, I hope they do it for me!!!!!!!
- No because the electoral vote is what counts in the General Election according to the law.
- As long as McCain wins and not that socialist.
- The electoral college is the best thing about America. it keeps California from ruling the country!
- No, we have been using the Electoral College System for years. Everyone knows the rules.
- Without the electoral college, there would be absolutely no reason for any candidate to step foot in any state other than Ohio, Texas, New York, California and Arizona. In fact, the candidate could say that no one in those states will pay Federal income tax and the rest of us will pay double for their vote. It has nothing to do with electing the President directly. It has all to do with not eliminating the small states or the ones that have very little population. Let's keep it.
- Well it will just ignore the principle of "democracy". The electoral system is by far the worst, but yet people don't care about it and yet go for it.... By the way i like the fact CA is worth 55!!!!
- I wouldn't regardless of who I support. I do think it will get rough if McCain wins the electoral and Obama the popular.
- nah, I understand the electoral process. I'll get up and go to work the next day. If my candidate should be on the losing end I'll do my best to survive the next 4 years and then prepare to dive right into the election process again. God, America is awesome! =]
- Al Gore in 2000?
